Tools

Free browser tools for 360° panoramas and Gaussian splats — built because I needed them mid-project and the existing ones were worse. Nothing to install, nothing uploaded: your equirectangular JPEGs and your .ply and .sog files are decoded on your own machine and never leave it.

Available tools

What they're for

  • Comparing two reconstruction, stitching or training runs on the same capture
  • Before and after on denoising, HDR merging, upscaling, pruning or compression
  • Checking an on-device result against a desktop or cloud one
  • Site-progress and renovation captures of the same space over time

Why they run on your machine

Capture data is usually someone's building, someone's product or someone's unreleased scan. Uploading it to look at it is a bad trade, and it is not a trade these tools ask for: there is no server, no account and no analytics on file contents. That is also why they stay fast — nothing waits on a round trip.

Questions

Are these really free?

Yes. No account, no trial, no export watermark and no paid tier waiting behind the useful part. They exist because I needed them mid-project and the alternatives were worse.

Is anything I open uploaded?

No. Every tool here decodes your file in the browser and hands it straight to the GPU. There is no server to upload to — once the page has loaded, each tool keeps working with your network disconnected.

What do I need to run them?

A current browser on any desktop or phone. The panorama viewer needs WebGL; the splat viewer needs WebGL 2. Nothing to install.

Can I use them for client work?

Yes, commercial use included. They are tools, not a licence negotiation.

All of it came out of phone-captured spatial reconstruction work — that's also what I do for a living.
